Kumar Ranjan started his career as an artist in 2005 and since then he has had a steady increases in his skill and achievements. His work is inspired by village and the surroundings of a village. He tries to capture the essence of village market and the careless mob, through vibrant color and bold innocent lines. He has participated in many group and solo shows every year since he started in 2005. He believes that he is a self-taught artist and hence he has put a lot of efforts in developing his knowledge and skill in this field.
His recent project in what he has displayed named ìVILLAGEî. In very common language the village market is called a HAAT, the color behaviour there is very symbolic and the movement of people is stiff. His works are an analysis of the mentality of the people in the village.
